The issue that I chose to be the topic of my blog is Church
vs. State. This topic has been very controversial for many years. This topic
stuck out to me because I feel that it is important for students to be aware as
well as taught about the Christian religion. I, along with many others, already
know that the teaching of Christianity in schools is prohibited. I also know
that there was a very important Supreme Court case on this very topic. I will
hopefully learn what the reasoning behind this legislature is as well as why so
many people support this ruling. I would also like to learn about the rules and
regulations when it comes to religion and schools. My ideal audience is anyone
who believes that religion should be allowed in schools because after all that
is what our country was formed on.
